cwtch*, was this year invited to demonstrate at the Abergavenny Food Festival (September 18-19th). The festival now in its 11th year, attracted over 50,000 people with the good weather helping to contribute to the best attended festival so far. cwtch was asked to cook some of its sample dishes at the Great Welsh Restaurant Tasters – a new event at the festival designed for the festival goers to spend an hour in the company of some of Wales’ best restaurants. Top chefs and restaurateurs from across the nation were invited to cook their signature dishes, offer samples of their food and tell inside stories from the restaurant trade. Matt cooked up a delicious menu of Welsh Black Beef Bruchetta, Lamb with crushed new potates, chorizo and broad beans, and he also took up Andy’s amazing chocolate brownie cake as a finale to a great demonstration.
